This Month's Recommended Book: Inkling by Kenneth Oppel

Ethan, Sarah and their dad have just lost Ethan's mom to cancer.  Ethan's dad is trying his best to take care of Ethan and Sarah - and he is - barely.  He doesn't have a lot of energy to work on his next big comic book - even though the due date is quickly approaching.

Ethan is trying to illustrate his own comic book for school and he really needs his dad's help, but it doesn't look like it's coming.

But, one day, a strange inkblot appears on Ethan's homework.  When Ethan touches it, it scrambles off the page!  Inkling.

Is Inkling the solution to all of Ethan's family's problems?  Or will Inkling make things worse?

This book is an amazing blend of drawing and story. You will fall in love with Inkling.
